DH report,
Both surgeries went fine! First, the oncologist came out after two hours to tell me that his part was finished and that the frozen sections (a rapid, initial test for cancer-like cells) was negative. Two hours later the plastic surgeon emerged to tell me that it appears that the reconstruction was completed today and that we won't need a follow-up surgery. When the patient is feeling up to it, she will add more effusive and enlightening comments.

I ran across your blog today. Somehow I think someone of higher power helped me find out about you on your surgery day. I'm glad your surgery went well and I send pray your way.
I'm also have TNBC and IDC. I have taken BRAC test on March 1st and had my Pre-OP on my 50th Birthday on March 1st. My surgery is scheduled for March 23rd. Looking forward to visiting with you when your feeling better. Good luck to you and your family.

Hi Lorrie,
Yes, that is quite a coincidence! I am so sorry to hear that you, too, joined the TNBC sisterhood. Let me tel you, it's one special club...
It sounds as if you are well on your way towards treatment, with surgery coming up for you soon. I hope it all goes smoothly. I will be thinking of you...
Thank you for sending all of those prayers my way. I'm sure all those helped me get through my surgery smoothly. Having support really makes a big difference as you progress on your cancer journey.
Listen, if you have any questions you would like to ask me, feel free to drop me an email sometime. You can contact me by clicking on the "email me" link on my profile page.
Good luck to you as you prepare for surgery. It's a good time to get some spring cleaning done before you're not allowed to lift your arms higher than your shoulders for a couple of weeks. Oh, and don't forget to move dinner plates, glasses and food down to countertop level before surgery, so you can reach things afterward...
